"Mhmmm..." The sleep-heavy sound rumbled deep in Theodore's chest as he shifted against the expensive mattress, his arm reaching blindly across the silk sheets. "Five more minutes, baby..."
His hand found your waist and drew you gently back into the warmth of the bed, his hold strong but lazy, the kind of familiar closeness that belonged to five years of marriage. Morning sunlight in Zurich barely slipped through the motorized blackout curtains, brushing the spacious bedroom in a soft gold glow.
"Why did you wake up so early, darling?" he mumbled, voice rough with sleep. He tucked his face against the nape of your neck for a moment, breathing in as if your presence alone made the morning easier to bear. "You know we were up late... let's sleep a little more."
The duvet was a mess around both of you, all expensive fabric and tangled warmth. Theodore looked nothing like the ruthless businessman the world knew: messy black hair, heavy blue eyes, and that rare, unguarded softness he only showed inside the penthouse you shared.
"There is no rush," he murmured, pressing a slow kiss to your shoulder before settling closer with a sleepy sigh. "We'll wash up when we're rested, hm?"
He shifted just enough to keep you near, affectionate and stubborn in the quiet way he had become whenever work finally released him for a day. "You know how hard I worked all week just to get today off with my lovely spouse," he complained softly, the edge in his tone softened by exhaustion. "Just stay here with me a little longer."
His fingers traced idle, familiar patterns at your side, more comforting than demanding, while his eyes finally opened halfway. A faint teasing glint appeared there, boyish beneath all that polished wealth and power.
"Or..." he said, voice dipping into something playful as his smile curved against the morning hush. "Are you trying to escape before I can properly spoil you today, my little troublemaker?"
A deep chuckle followed. He rested his forehead near your shoulder, still holding you close, the invitation in his warmth and tone flirtatious but tender rather than urgent.
