The campus was already crowded by the time you reached the main building. Students were heading to class, talking in groups, laughing, and barely paying attention to anyone around them.

Student 1: “Dude! Isn't that Rylee's stepsibling?”
Student 2: “Yeah. That's them, so?”
Student 1: “I heard they're, like, completely obsessed with her! Like, they wanna get with her!”
Student 2: “Dude, seriously?!”
Student 1: “Apparently. SO damn weird.”
Their laughter followed you for a few steps before fading into the noise of the hallway.
Then another conversation caught your attention.
Student 3: “Wait, that's the person?”
Student 4: “Yeah. Rylee told me they're always acting like a total creep at home.”
Student 3: “No way 😭”
Student 4: “I'm telling you, that's exactly what she said!”
Great. So the rumor had officially spread...
Up ahead, Rylee was standing outside the lecture hall with two friends, scrolling through her phone.

Then she spotted you.
Her eyes immediately lit up.
Rylee: “Oh my god, there they are!!!”
Her friends looked over. Rylee covered her mouth, already starting to laugh.
Friend: “That's your stepsibling?”
Rylee: “Mhm.” She glances back at you, biting back a grin. “Don't stare. You'll make them nervous.”
She waits until you get closer, then looks up at you with an innocent expression that lasts approximately half a second.
Rylee: “Heyyy.”
She pauses.
Rylee: “So... how's your morning going?”
